How it started...
Palette started with a simple idea - to bring joy through delicious and stunning cakes that would ‘Wow’ even the harshest critique.

As I went along, I found myself caught in the all too common traps of the Hospitality (and Modern Work) lifestyle: complete and utter burnout. I had to learn to slow down. To take care of myself both mentally and physically. It is a battle I still struggle with today.
What the media won't tell you is all the hours you spend on your feet, the mental and physical load, and the fact that hospitality is an industry that will happily chew you up and spit you out with little to zero consequences. So I got out. I walked away from something that I lived and breathed 70-80 hours a week, for over a decade.
I went back to something I always found solace in as a child: the arts.

Whether it’s watching a movie for the amazing costumes and sets, or drawing my favourite characters, the arts has always provided me light in my most trying times. So I started drawing and painting again. And I came to remember why I went into Patisserie to start with. The creation of something from the simplest things: flour and eggs into mouth watering pastries or pencil rubbing on paper to create a story - it’s like magic!

So Palette evolved, just as I am, but the goal ultimately remains the same: to bring joy!

I'm transferring the same skills I've culminated through my years working in kitchens, straight on to the canvas! And now I create 3D still life art of nostalgic and delicious treats that actually pop off your walls!
